Jungle Girl

15 Chapters - 1941

Edgar Rice Borroughs' Jungle Girl

PLOT

Driven from civilization by the criminal activities of his twin brother Bradley
Meredith, Dr. John Meredith settles in the African jungle with his infant daughter. There with his ability to cure the native ills, he has virtual control of the Masamba tribes who happen to possess vast diamond mines which are coveted by a gang of crooks...

Edgar Rice Burroughs penned a number of stories set in the (then) contemporary world. These are tales of adventure and romance, but do not rely upon speculative fiction such as the Tarzan tales do. Jungle Girl first appeared in The Blue Book Magazine, May-Sept 1931 as a five part serial. His original working title for the novel was The Dancing Girl of the Leper King.
